Photography 101
Facebook???? A few months ago, I had no idea what it was, except what I had heard from my children....Then, a client suggested we create a group and we did.
We had no idea what a success it would be...so much so, that shortly thereafter the comments and questions began to bombard our inbox. Where do I set my camera for action shots, where can I take my camera for cleanings, what lights should I purchase, do you know of an editing software....and the list of questions, goes on and on.
So, here's what we decided : Once a month, we will hold amateur photography classes here at our studio. The class is limited to 6 ladies and will include lunch, but most of all, we will be able to answer all the questions, and teach many how to use their equipment and create beautiful images. The ladies will also shoot a session and edit it during class. I plan to post the best images from each student and have you, our faithful bloggers, vote on your favorites.
We are so excited to be offering photography101 and expect it to be a lot of fun!
Looking forward to it!
Martha:)
P.S. For further information, please email me at martha@udsphoto.com or search for unique design studios on facebook groups.
OCTOBER'S CLASS IS FULL...Next class, November 30th

Meredith and JP's Engagement Session
Wednesday, September 3, 2008
We welcome with open arms!
UDS is thrilled to introduce our latest and very talented Artist-Jacquelyn Prussing.
After owning her own photo studio in New York for many years, Jacquelyn has relocated to Miami and chose UDS to continue creating her art. We feel honored to have her and not only love her work, but her personality...she's one of us:)
Thank you Jackie for your amazing work, your friendship and your patience.
We love you!
Congratulations Luzianne and Anthony!

Annette and Isidro's Engagement Session
Annette and Isidro are the sweetest couple you'll ever meet. They're like an old married couple:)
Their wedding will be in Miami at one of my favorite hotels, the Mandarin Oriental, but they felt their engagement shoot should take place in New York. Not only do they live there, but it's where their relationship began.
The married couple making faces...no one cares in N.Y.
Coney Island...yes, there's a beach in NY!
...and it's also 100+ degrees.
What a skyline...WOW!
Morimoto's (Iron Chef's) new restaurant...Yum
I thought this wall said it all! What you don't see, is the greasy floor full of meat lard that covers that sidewalk...slip and slide, anyone?
Suba...the restaurant where it all began for them.
I hate to leave NY, but Miami's calling:)
